Ray McGowan III is a recent college graduate from Colorado State University with a degree in Theatre with a focus on lighting design. He also has a minor in music, stage, and sports production. While at CSU, he was a part of over 20 productions as an electrician, lighting, sound, and projections designer. In 2019, he was the recipient of the KCACTF Barbizon National Award for Excellence in Lighting Design in Region 7 for the show Big Love. He has recently worked as the lighting design intern for The Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts, Home of the B Street Theatre. While at B Street, he designed lights for 27 SBL Entertainment concert performances including Welcome to Nightvale, Grammy Award-winning Kalani Pe’a, Al Jardine’s Endless Summer, and Mania! – The Live Beatles Experience.
